Parenting is the love of your life and one of the hardest things you will ever do. The two things are both true at the same time. But there's a version of parenting you're allowed to show the world, and then there's what it actually costs you — the doubt, the guilt, the moments you're not proud of, the fear that you're getting it wrong in ways you won't know until later.
